🐾 Amansala: Tulum’s Best Pet-Friendly Beachfront Resort 🏝️

Searching for the best pet-friendly hotel in Tulum where your best friend is accepted and made to feel like they are part of the experience? At Amansala Eco Chic Resort, we know that vacations are better with pets! From playful pups to seasoned beach explorers, our resort is a heaven for both two and four-legged guests.

🐕 Meet Amansala’s Furry VIPs

Our beachfront sanctuary is home to a few famous four-legged friends who embody the pet-friendly spirit of Amansala:

🐾 Desy the Mischievous Escape ArtistDown at Amansala where the ocean wind carries in the scent of the jungle it is one guest who never leaves the property. Desy, that free and easy four legged traveller who always has a story to tell in her eyes. She is friendly, she is lively and she loves to create a splasher in the bath. Our guest Desy, the escape artist, has learned how to disappear right after she has been washed and smells like cotton and sea. Before long though, she’s off – her ears dragging behind her, her tail wagging, her eyes shining with merriment – to her much loved patch of mud where she rolls joyfully, eradicating any effort that we had put into cleaning her up. But wait, there’s more to it than that. After a contented shake of the hair that is now quite wet and covered in mud, Desy goes on her second mission: to the cenote. It’s as if she is a real explorer of the jungle and she walks with a lot of energy, taking turns to greet guests and mark them with a muddy paw as a souvenir. When she finally gets to the place she loves the most, she happily gets into the water, and the feeling is so refreshing, she ends up washing away all the evidence of her shenanigans and comes out looking as sweet as a candy. Despite her pranks, it’s impossible to get angry with Desy. Her playfulness and the child in her brings out the best in us and reminds everyone that there is no harm in enjoying the little things in life; rolling in the mud, running wild and taking a cool dip in a secret cenote. Life’s too short to be clean for most of it, really. So when you see a muddy dog running around Amansala with a happy look on its face you know – oh Desy, you have done it again! And that’s totally cool with us. 🐾💦✨

🐾 Layla the Social ButterflyLayla is not just a beach dog, she is an experience. She has a heart as big as the ocean and sun-kissed fur that has won over everyone at Amansala. But Layla doesn’t like to sit still for too long. She has a reputation, and she owns it – Tulum’s most social four-legged foodie. As the sun sets, Layla follows her nightly routine of taking a long walk on the beach, wagging her tail, and smelling the dinner and laughter. She is like a VIP guest from one restaurant to another, meeting the diners, getting belly rubs, and maybe even getting a taste of something good if she’s lucky. However, the real talent of Layla is not in the identification of the best places to eat but in the ability to make friends. She can connect with fellow travellers of both species and has a way to tell the story of a fellow traveller. It isn’t uncommon for her to come in at 4am, covered in sand, with her eyes half closed, but she never comes alone. She always comes with a new furry friend, as if she is adding new members to her own private beach club. Layla, the wanderer, doesn’t know where she is or how she gets so many friends, but one thing is for sure: She is the spirit of the beach with her adventurous spirit and endless love. No matter how far she travels she always finds her way back home to the Amansala family and her plus one for the day. Here’s to Layla, our beachy little explorer, living proof that there’s always time for one more adventure, life is meant to be savored, and friendships are everywhere. 🐾🌊✨

🐾 Nebby the Golden WandererNebby is not just a golden retriever, she is a socialite, a charmer and a professional in human relations. Her tail never stops wagging and she has a golden heart which means that she has only one task in this life – to make friends. For real. First thing in the morning, Nebby enjoys the beach sunrise while at Amansala but she doesn’t stay long before she goes off on one of her famous adventures. She walks through the crowds with a high tail, looking for new people to meet, her eyes shining with happiness. Whether it is a guest enjoying their morning coffee, a yogi stretching in front of the shala or a group of friends laughing over margaritas, Nebby sees opportunity; a chance to meet a new person, maybe get a belly rub and most importantly, to find someone who will through a ball for her. The thing about Nebby though, is that she’s so into her social life that sometimes she doesn’t know which way is up. She could be at Amansala one moment and the next, found sitting between two strangers at a beachside café, tail thumping as if she’s known them for years. If you have ever seen a golden retriever happily wandering in a crowd, not knowing that she is actually a few miles away from home, it is probably Nebby. But it doesn’t matter where she is she always manages to find her way back sometimes with a little help from many friends she has made on the way. And when she comes back, a little sandy and always with a smile on her face, she is ready for one more game of fetch because no adventure is complete without a ball and Nebby chasing after it with unlimited happiness. She’s a reminder to all of us that life is about connections, about saying hello to strangers, about chasing that which brings you happiness. And in Nebby’s case, that is everyone and anyone who will throw the ball. 🐾🎾✨

🐾 Lucy the Comeback QueenMeet Lucy, the heart and soul of Amansala. She is only 13 years old and may be small in physique but the light in her eyes is as huge as the ocean. At first when she came to Tulum she wasn’t in the best of shape…but the moment her tiny paws felt the hot sand and the wind played with her little grey face, she brought back life.

It might be the fresh sea air, the daily shore walks, or the properly prepared fresh chicken from the kitchen (which she now demands as if she is really the queen). Whatever the reason, Lucy is the face of Amansala and brings joy to everyone she meets.

She’s not a needy dog; she just gets it with her cute eyes. You can see her sitting by the beach club, staring at the guests with a smile in her eyes, waiting for someone to throw her a treat. But how could they refuse? Her skin is soft, her eyes bright and warm, and she always looks so happy to see everyone.

Lucy has outshined the Tulum sunset and has been featured in more Instagram photos than we can even count. People actually pause their beach walk to take a picture with her, and each guest receives a welcome from a dog who has found heaven on earth.

However, Lucy is not just a celebrity – she is a celebrity because she loves the good life. She is the perfect example of a dog who, no matter what her age, has found that with love, fresh air and the right food, she can rediscover life.

When you are at Amansala and you see a tiny, adorable celebrity sunbathing, please wave hello. The photo with Lucy the Pug is not only the most beautiful picture you will take during your trip, it is the most meaningful one.
